The high capacity battery bank stores up to 15 kWh of nameplate energy storage. he DC-coupled 5kW Skybox grid-tie/battery hybrid inverter delivers 5kW of continuous power per second. This system uses DC coupling for both the solar and the connection to the battery system for greater overall efficiency. This all-in-one power management and battery storage package is designed to provide backup power in the event of a grid outage and to support time-of-use optimization.
Featuring the 5kW SkyBox True Hybrid Energy System and twelve (12) EnergyCell 200PLR (Pure Lead Runtime) VRLA-AGM batteries, the SystemEdge 530PLR can provide up to six hours of battery backup power. The PV solar system powers loads and charges batteries during the day, while the daily-cycled batteries power loads when the sun sets and grid power is expensive. This pre-bundled solution with EnergyCell PLR batteries is engineered for optimal float service performance. PLR technology means 99% gas recombination efficient, no periodic watering of cells, no re-torquing of terminal connections, and no equalization charge under standard operating conditions. The SystemEdge 530PLR can provide power and storage to support loads consistent with a modern residence made up of a refrigerator, computer, multiple TVs, and lighting.
