This pre-bundled battery-based energy package is part of the SystemEdge Suburban series by Outback. The high capacity battery bank stores up to 15 kWh of nameplate energy storage. The DC-coupled 5kW Skybox grid-tie/battery hybrid inverter delivers 5kW of continuous power per second. This system uses DC coupling for both the solar and the connection to the battery system for greater overall efficiency. This all-in-one power management and battery storage package is designed to provide backup power in the event of a grid outage and to support time-of-use optimization.

Featuring the 5kW SkyBox Hybrid Inverter and four (4) SimpliPhi 3.8kW Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) batteries, the SystemEdge 514PHI can provide up to six hours of battery backup power. The SimpliPhi batteries are engineered for optimal float service performance. Each Simpliphi battery includes an integrated battery management system (BMS) which regulates the batteries ensuring they operate at optimal efficiency. The built-in circuit breaker protects the battery system from short circuits. PV solar system powers loads and charges batteries during the day, while the daily-cycled batteries power loads when the sun sets and grid power is expensive. The SystemEdge 514PHI can provide power and storage to support loads consistent with a modern residence made up of a refrigerator, computer, multiple TVs, and lighting.
