Description
The FLEXmax 60 by Outback Power is a 60 amp continuous MPPT solar charge controller. The FM60 supports battery voltages from 12 to 60VDC and has the ability to accept a higher voltage solar array to recharge a lower voltage battery bank. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) allows the unit to determine the best combination of voltage and current to maximize the amount of power it can send to the batteries. The FM60 can handle up to 150 Volts DC from the solar array, which is stepped down to the battery bank voltage.
Engineered with active cooling and smart thermal management, the FLEXmax charge controller can operate at its full maximum current rating of 60 amps in ambient temperatures up to 104°F (40°C). The Outback charge controllers feature a built-in, backlit 80 character display that shows the current status and logged system performance data. Data logging stores the last 128 days of data: amp-hours, watt-hours, time in float, peak watts, amps, solar array voltage, max. battery voltage, min. battery voltage and absorb time, accumulated amp-hours, and kWh of production. The integrated OutBack network communications allows FLEXmax charge controllers to be remotely programmed and monitored via an optional MATE system.
