Net Metering

Net Metering is the name for the new billing account you will have with the utility after installing a solar panel system. This means the utility will only bill you for the “Net” of what you consume after subtracting what the solar system generates in a monthly billing cycle. With net-metering, the utility will give you credit for the extra power generated during the daytime. The credit can then be used to offset any power consumed during off-hours.
