LG Chem Battery

The LG Energy Storage System (ESS) is a self-sufficient solar storage battery and energy management system designed for the grid-connected home customer. The LG RESU battery is an excellent on-demand power supply during the night or power backup during a grid outage. The lithium-ion battery is compatible with any solar panel, including LG solar panels, and a variety of solar inverters from LG, SMA, SolarEdge and others.

The LG RESU-Prime has a relatively lightweight design that can be floor or wall-mounted. There is a ten-year manufacturer warranty from LG that promises at least 70% of original capacity in 10 years.

LG RESU-Prime batteries are rated to 6000 cycles. That is more than to 16 years if discharged every day. The LG RESU comes in two basic types; the HV (higher voltage) 400V models offered in US markets. and the 48V model available in other markets.

The LG RESU 400V comes in two models, 10 kWh 10H-Prime and the 16 kWh 16H-Prime. The 10H can be floor or wall-mounted, while the 16H is a floor-mounted unit. The Type R models are compatible with SOLAREDGE ENERGY HUB INVERTERS. Up to two battery units can be connected to a single inverter for modular storage expansion
