How to install shingle flashing for solar panels
Always find and mark locations of the roof rafter. Measure and run chalk-lines for locations of the rails and roof attachments. Do it twice to be sure. Then, drill a pilot hole, apply a sealant to hole, slide the flashing under a row of roof shingles, secure with bolt, and attach sealing washer.
