Description
The Sunny Boy Storage 5.0 is a DC-AC power inverter for high-voltage batteries, including the Tesla Powerwall or LG Chem batteries. The Sunny Boy Storage inverter is designed for self-consumption to achieve compliance with zero export requirements, or to avoid utility demand charges through peak shaving. With a continuous charge and discharge power of 5,000 watts (5.0 kW), the SBS5.0 can handle the electricity demand of most homes. For full off-grid back-up functionality, the optional SMA Backup Unit is available.
The Sunny Boy Storage inverter works with new or retrofit existing PV solar systems to keep batteries charged, and provide up to 2,000 watts of daytime convenience power in the event of a grid outage. The inverter combines the flexibility of AC coupling with the advantages of high-voltage battery technology. Commissioning is simple with the integrated web server and the direct portal access, making the the energy flows in the household as transparent as possible. However electricity is produced and consumed, with existing or new PV systems, or as a secure backup supply in the event of grid failures, the Sunny Boy Storage can handle the load.
Compatible with LG Chem Resu10H home battery and other high-voltage batteries. Order online or PHONE 888-498-3331
