Description

The BYD battery box premium HVL consists of 4kWh battery modules and a battery control unit (BCU). The BYD home battery storage system is designed for daily cycle use that re-charges with electricity generated from PV solar panels or the utility grid. The Battery Box can provide safe power on-demand, or reliable backup if the power-grid goes down. The rechargeable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery is guaranteed by BYD for 10 years.

The battery modules are floor-mounted, with up to 8 modules or 32 kWh energy storage per tower. Up to three towers can be wired in parallel for expansion up to 96kWh (varies by inverter). The BYD Battery Box Premium HVL is compatible with many AC inverters available today including GoodWe hybrid inverter or the SMA Sunny Boy Smart Energy SBSE or the Solid hybrid inverter.   • The installation location must not be close to the heat sources.
  • The altitude of the installation location should be less than 9843 ft.
  • The ambient temperature should be between 14 °F to 122 °F.
  • The ambient humidity should be between 5-95%.
  • For indoor residential use, battery systems are only intended to be installed in attached or detached garages, sheds, enclosed utility closets, basements, storage or utility spaces within dwelling units and are not intended for installation in habitable spaces and livings spaces in dwelling units.
  • For outdoor residential use, battery systems should not be exposed to the direct solar irradiation, rainwater and snow
