Solar rebates in Missouri could be greatly improved, but some discounts exist to help ease solar installation costs. First of all, Missouri residents are eligible for a 30 percent Federal Energy Tax Credit from the federal government. Solar panel systems up to 100kWh are eligible for net metering. All investor-owned utilities are required to offer a solar rebate of at least $2.00 per watt installed.
